1922 | Edgar died in Nottingham General Hospital on 15/1/1922 aged
35 leaving £157. 15s. to his mother Mary Annie Starbuck. He was living
in Bottesford and was buried in Bingham Cemetery. Death certificate has his address as The Gas Works, Bottesford. He was an engineer’s fitter. Cause of death: Inanition over 8 months, no cause discovered. A post mortem was performed. Inanition is described as “Severe weakness and wasting as results from lack of food, defect in assimilation, or neoplastic disease.” He would have starved to death. |
