2/5th & 2/8th Battalion Territorial Force
April 1916 Moved to Ireland stationed at Dublin and then at Curragh.
Jan 1917 Returned to England at Fovant, Salisbury Plain.
26.02.1917 Mobilised for war and landed in France and engaged in various actions on the Western Front including;

The pursuit of the German retreat to the Hindenburg Line, The Battle of the Menin Road Ridge, The Battle of Polygon Wood, The capture of Bourlon Wood, The German counter attacks.
06.02.1918 the 2/8th disbanded in France.

Electoral register 1921: Harriett Daubney at White House, Long Acre. Father Henry died in Bingham 24th February 1921. Builder, The White House Bingham, effects £6661 11s 8d. Left to widow, Harriett, and sons [by his first wife, Betsy], Henry (the younger, builder, b. 1870) and John Herbert (joiner b.1875.).
13th May 1921 Died and buried Bingham Cemetery. Note that his father, mother and sister Ethel are also buried there.

Cause of death: Meningitis. Inquest held14th May 1921. His address was The White House, Bingham.

Report of meeting of Education Committee
“The Clerk reported the death of Mr Percy A Daubney, fifth assistant clerk to the Clerk to the Guardians. Mr Daubney (who was the son of a former member of the Board) was badly cut up during the rebellion in Ireland and was again wounded in France, but returned to his civil duties, and was at work the day before he died.”
1922 Probate: Percy Albert Daubney of White House Bingham.
Effects £135-17s-5d to Harriett Daubney, widow (his mother).
