The medal card is full of abbreviated notes and not easy to decipher.

If our assumption that he was commissioned into the MGC is correct he would have served as follows until mid-1917:
1/8th Battalion Territorial Force:
04.08.1914 Stationed at Newark as part of the Notts & Derby Brigade of the North Midland Division and then moved to Harpenden and then Braintree.
25.02.1915 Mobilised for war and landed in France. (This date corresponds with the medal card)
12.05.1915 Formation became the 139th Brigade and the 46th Division which engaged in various actions on the Western Front including;
1915
The German liquid fire attack at Hooge, The attack at the Hohenzollern Redoubt.
1916urt, as part
The diversionary attack at Gommecoof the Somme campaign.
1917
Operations on the Ancre, Occupation of the Gommecourt defences, The attack on Rettemoy Graben.
He would have then transferred to MGC, we have no way of knowing where. It may be he did not change location.

Given that daughter Eileen was born on 17th October, this was possibly an “accommodation” address.
