While at sea was A/Sgt (ship’s provost Sgt) reverting to A/Cpl then Pte 5/12/18 Disembarked London 5/12/18 57th Bn Tidworth to 20/12/18 Granted leave from 4/2/19 to 16/5/19 with pay & subsistence (non Military Employment) – surveying at C Pearson Shaw, surveyors Bingham Returned to Australia 8/7/19 on SS Friedricksruh (see below), arriving 1/9/19 Discharged 19/9/19 23/9/19 Query from Shaw saying he performed duties of lecturer on the Educational Staff on board ship and is entitled to extra duty pay as A/Cpl for the voyage. Shaw stated to the Finance Officer that this had been approved and recommended and forwarded to Tidworth from Westham Camp, Weymouth. 30/9/19 There is a letter in response to the letter from 23/9/19 saying there is no record of his having performed extra duties on the voyage to Australia |
