WORLD WAR I

Bingham War Memorial

Service Record

430833 Herbert John Richards No. 411 Agra Co. (from the AVL)
This may mean Agri – i.e. Agricultural Coy. There was a 411 Agri Co. - part of the Labour Corps.
We have found references on other web sites to other men who served in this company. They all served in the UK. Quite possibly Hebert would have been assigned to a farmer in Bingham.
No service records available
His lack of medals may indicate service on the home front
AVL AVL address 1919: Market Place; not on roll of honour
Samuel Spencer also served in this company and gave his AVL address as Bingham.
