Posted to 94th Field Co. RE 10 10 Jan 1915 but discharged 26/3/15, KR 392 iii (c) Medical report of 16th March 1915 said: Not likely to become am efficient soldier.
The Field Company of the Royal Engineers provided technical skill and know-how in support of the fighting units of the formation known as a Division

Kitchener’s Third New Army, K3.
In January 1915 it was decided to add a third Field Company to each New Army Division and those Companies that had been raised for K3 were reassigned to the Divisions of K1 and K2.

Field Companies provided support to a Division. The 94th was raised allocated to 25th division until January 1915 and then to 19th (Western) Division.

1915 FREEBMD Died 6th October 1915 in Bingham. He was a journeyman shoemaker, Cause of death: “Phthisis Pulmonalis” over one year. i.e. consumption or TB.
The condition may have been the reason for his discharge from the army. Other soldiers died of TB whilst still serving.
Death reported by Florrie Moore, widow, Bingham.
1917 Flora married Harry Radford in Bingham on 22nd October 1817. Both lived in Bingham; he was a labourer at the General Post Office. Flora’s father was a chimney Sweep.
