Service records | Joined Royal Navy Division on 8 th December 1915, occupation
plumber. His father was Robert Fiddies, The Banks Bingham. He was 5’8” with a maximum chest of 371/2”. He had black hair and brown eyes. He did not serve overseas. On 16/6/16 he joined the 4th reserve battalion and was promoted A/B. On 25/11/196 he joined the 3 rd reserve battalion, both at Blandford. He transferred back to the 4 th 27/3/17 and attended a musketry course at Hayling Island.as Acting Leading Seaman in May. He reverted to AB on 17/1/1918. He transferred to Portsmouth RN depot in February and was demobilised 15 th May 1919. |

1928 | He was paid a war gratuity. In January, whilst a member of the RNVR he was awarded the Long Service and Good Conduct medal. |
