joined the RFC on 25th March 1918. He entered the RAF on 1st April 1918,
the inaugural date of the RAF. He qualified as a wireless operator. His medal card shows service in the South Nottinghamshire Hussars (service number 14449), Royal Flying Corps (408809) and Corps of Hussars (281973). It records he was sent to the Middle East Theatre on 12th April 1915.He received Victory, British and Star medals. |
