  Edward was called up, aged 18, on 10th May 1918 while still at school. His brief service was confined to training in the Northern theatre (North of England) so he did not see action.   F S Blood is recorded in the history of Bingham RBL as a having served in WW1 and a member of the Bingham branch of The Royal British Legion. He is recorded in the 1911 census summary book as SF Blood (Sam Foster, as above) living in Market Place. There are no records on the relevant web sites to substantiate the note in the RBL book about serving in WW1.
Dec 1961 An Edward F Blood of right age died in Surrey
